We are united as Christians through our love, our service, and
our commitment to Christ. To support the work of this parish and
its ministries, and as one of the basic forms of Christian
stewardship, we ask all members of our community of faith to
contribute financially in the form of a yearly pledge. The
amount is a matter between you and God, and is confidential.
As we continue our 2005-2007 The Centennial Years
celebration,
we have much work to do to serve God and His people. It is
an exciting time for us at St. James by-the-Sea. Giving to God
is our joy, and, as it happens, it ultimately results in our
being able to live lives that are fuller, happier, and more
satisfying. To the extent that we give, we likewise receive.
So that we can plan our work for the year realistically and
budget responsibly, we need to know your intentions concerning
giving to the church. We invite everyone who worships at St.
James to "strive to tithe" to the work of God in the
church and the world. We hope you will make your pledge
intention known to us by completing a pledge card, which is
available at the church office, and returning it to us.
