The Rev. Dr. Mark Hargreaves examines John’s gospel reading’s use of the word “abide” which, in the Greek, means so much more than our English usage: “He doesn’t use the word Trinity, but that’s where he’s going. He’s opening up that idea of God in three and God as one.”
