Thank goodness Paul and Silas had each other when they were thrown into that Roman prison. The Rev. Abby VanderBrug uses the experience to demonstrate the value and attributes of true friendship, and suggests, as we journey forth as witnesses and proclaimers of the story of resurrection, that we also remember the words of that favorite old hymn “What A Friend We Have In Jesus”.
